Third Round: Best Song Lyrics. Ever. IMHO.

And now, for the third installment of what I think are the signature lyrics in their respective songs.

Enjoy.

“Tin roof. Rusted!” — Love Shack by the B-52’s.

“I got nothin’ to do and all day to do it.” — Too Much Time on My Hands by Styx.

“And Harry doesn’t mind / if he doesn’t make the scene. He’s got a daytime job /  he’s doin’ alright.” — Sultans of Swing by Dire Straits.

“For I know that the hypnotized never lie.” — Won’t Get Fooled Again by The Who.  (I know that “Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss” might be considered the most well known part of the song; but this is the portion of the song that I look forward to and consider iconic.)

“New York, London, Paris, Munich, / Everybody talk about pop muzik.” [Yes, it’s spelled that way.] – Pop Muzik by M.

“We’re the party people / Night and day.” – Off the Wall by Michael Jackson.

“The powers that be / That force us to live like we do / Bring me to my knees / When I see what they’ve done to you.” – Back on the Chain Gang by The Pretenders.
